Tower Apartments are co-located with the first Ritz Carlton Hotel in Australia, and incorporating multiple restaurants, bars and retail tenancies along Barrack Street and the Elizabeth Quay waterfront promenade.
This site is located over the original Barrack Street Jetty, the main access point for the water transport of goods and people into Perth since 1842, with historical references integrated into the landscaping/paving and public space of Ophir Walk between the two towers.
Towers Apartments is the tallest and first curtain wall façade residential tower to be built in the Perth CBD. Multi-colored glass façade with over 150 apartment types to accommodate façade patterning. 2 towers with juxtaposed façade systems that reinforce the architectural concepts. Conceptual Design story that runs through the entire development from overall form to materiality and detailing.
Towers Apartments incorporates large lift and tilt operable windows in apartments (approx. 3m-4.2m wide x 1.6m high). The first of their kind in Australia, if not the Southern Hemisphere, they were in R&D from initial concept for 5 years for this project. These enable the apartment spaces to be expanded into the indoor/outdoor wintergarden area, in lieu of external balconies.
The apartments are rated 5 Star for sustainability and water sensitive landscaping.
