Silver Thomas Hanley is one of Australia’s leading architectural practices specialising in large-scale and complex projects. Originally formed in 1953, the practice evolved into Silver Thomas Hanley in 1985. We design by drawing on the fundamental relationship between human wellness and the built environment; creating spaces which are beautiful to inhabit for employees and visitors alike.
As a part of Open House Perth 2019, Silver Thomas Hanley will be opening their doors to the public; providing a unique insight to their new Subiaco office.
At Silver Thomas Hanley collaboration is a key part of their workflow dynamic. The open plan layout offers a variety of workspaces; fostering creativity and collaboration. The refined and simple pallet of materials; concrete, wood and stone, in combination with subtle changes in floor finishes, discrete timber dividers and glass panels throughout create an atmosphere of transparency and a welcoming environment for staff and clients. Simultaneously, these discrete design elements implement intuitive way-finding and noise control.
